Getting rid of the FRS/Scion badges and putting Toyota ones in its place. It will be mad JDM yo! But more importantly, it will be a Toyota the car of any true Indian. What are your guy's thoughts?

I am almost never in favor of this. But in your case, I am in favor of this. Kill all the Scion badges.

Do it. We all know Scion can't last anyway. ;-)

You could go no badges too. But yeah, that car shouldn't have scion emblems. It definitely should have been a toyota.

Well you can do it But we all know the truth

Don't you say that!! My car is not a Scion, it is not!!!!
![]() 10/11/2013 at 19:09 |

Neither am I, so I feel a little weird doing it. But this car shouldn't have been a Scion.

Thank god, maybe later models will get Toyota badging.
![]() 10/11/2013 at 19:11 |

Of course not! It's a Toyobarion

I think taking on the badges of another region is cool, if completed. Get rid of all of the Scion badges if you are going to do the swap. Also know that people in other places may be interested in making their Toyota into a Scion. Everyone seems to want the badging they don't have.
Playing with badges as a whole is cool if it is done right, with taste and thought. this swap is a no brainer.

But...but scion is all about youthful rebellion and robot CG sharks and stuff.
In all seriousness, i think the vast majority of car enthusiasts detest all that scion stands for. The fact that they currently sell one of the best vehicles on sale in the U.S. is sort of baffling and wrong. I say go for it.

Get Subaru badges :p

Are you going to be dropping mad skids with your mad JDM FRS?

Have fun wasting money on a purely cosmetic change, if that pleases you. Just know you need to replace the badges, emblems on the wheel caps, airbag steering wheel cover and floormats to complete the look. Should run you >$1K, airbag being most of that.
There are DIY's on how to swap the airbag emblem itself (and not the entire assembly).

I am just going for outside badges. So that is what? 50 bucks. . .

What a great idea. I think I will put GMC badges on my Ford. (sarcasm)

You already know my stance on this. (pun).
you better do it. Or else ima come to you car in the night and put subaru badges on it.

If there is anything worse than Scion it isn't Subaru, actually Subaru is pretty badass.

No no no, you are supposed to get better badges!
![]() 10/11/2013 at 19:31 |

This is what you wanted from the beginning, but they never made

Only cause subuaru doesnt offer that glorious burnt orange color! The purists will annihilate you! muwhahahah. alright, my evil genius plans dont have that much substance, you caught me./

More like 50hp!
huehuehuehuehue...

Me I'll keep mine as a Scion (besides my OCD would require me to do a FULL jdm swap and that money is going to headers and wheels). I mean don't get me wrong, I hate the whole faux hipster vibe of the brand, but what the fuck has Toyota done in the U.S. in the past 10 years? We all know that the average person thinks Prius or Tundra every time they see the cowboy hat (Toyota logo) on a car.

That is why the Toyotas are faster. . . hehehe

If you want sometihing JDM,
how about a Netz badge

A full JDM swap would be too costly for me. I was just thinking the outer badges, but then the floor mats and the steering wheel would start to annoy me.

Psh, if I wanted a Maserati badge, I would have just bought a Maserati. They make the Miata right?

But personally i think you are better putting it toward a nice set of tail lights or wheels. The badge is the last thing people notice imo

I just saw an IS with Toyota badges today. Do it.

No round stuff slap a classic TOYOTA badge on the rump of that sucker.

It would be cheaper to dress up like a giant hamster... oh wait, sorry. That commercial was for a Kia.
I always get my stupid out of touch hip millenial-centric advertising confused.

Just be aware of your local laws. Depending on where you live you may get a ticket if the cop runs your registration and wants to be a stickler.
![]() 10/11/2013 at 20:47 |
|
Registration says it's a Toyota Scion FR-S, so there's that.

My plan is to shave the front badge and go for the boxer side badge on the back. That or Lexus badges just to be droll.
Also very JDM, accenting the boxer badge with red paint:

Just about, people seem to have been getting them from different sources (certain model year camry fits as well).
If I rebadged, I'm not sure I could live with staring at a Scion emblem on the wheel every time I drive the car.
